Violence Prevention Education Presentations, Workshops, and Trainings
Student Presentations
Under Title IX, all public school students have the right to be attending school that is free of a hostile environment and sex discrimination. Schools must provide information to prevent discrimination and harassment and the conditions that create a hostile environment. These presentations would create the knowledge and awareness that schools are required to be in compliance with in accordance to Title IX.
Sexual Harassment
Providing students with knowledge on Sexual Harassment with definitions of Harassment and Sexual Harassment, explanation and break down of 3 categories of behaviors and actions defined as Harassment, and exposure of ideas of consent and healthy relationships. Grades 6-12.
Sexual Assault
Providing students with knowledge of Sexual Assault with definition and discussion of 4 types and definitions of assault, 3 types of rape, discussion of healthy relationships, discussion and storytelling presentation and performance regarding consent. Grades 8-12
Gender Workshop
Presentation of gender socialization beginning with break down of gender and sex definitions, followed by a Gender Box activity discussing stereotypes of gender ideas regarding masculinity and femininity and the harm and impact of them with storytelling and performance. Grades 8-12.
Anger Transformation
Using a self designed curriculum for adolescent violence prevention, with social and emotional lessons on anger, such topics as: warning signs, triggers, and responses to conflict and anger are examined. This curriculum can have an emphasis with boys and young men and can be provided as a series of workshops, separate lessons, or can be offered as consulting to an existing program. Grades 6-12.
Professional Development for Adults
Diversity Workshop
Discussion of power and privileges with embodied activities.
Games and Activities
Workshop for games and activities for Community Building Circles, teambuilding activities, and/or activities for goal setting and focus for adults to facilitate with youth.
Community Building and Harm and Conflict
Working with adults in organizations working through conflict and harm, or hostile environments.
